Wildlife Census is a web platform that has its root in the Systema Naturae wildlife dataset Organization. We provide a collection of census data of animals under one roof that is available around the internet. Here we index the population data of animals from reliable sources.
We centralize these animal population data to help and influence wildlife researchers, policymakers, and students. We believe that this will guide them in conserving wildlife and spreading awareness among others to encourage them to work towards sustainable growth.
WWF's Living Planet Report gives an overall average of 52% declining vertebrate populations around the planet from 1970 to 2010. This decline is mainly due to the over-exploitation of natural resources by human beings, which in turn disturbs the balance of animal habitats.
Our Mission is to create awareness among the people about the ongoing situation by using this platform to provide data on the animal census scattered around the internet under one roof.
Our Vision is to make this planet a perfect place for all living things to co-exist peacefully.
Our primary focus is on two SDG's namely, the LIFE BELOW WATER (14) and the LIFE ON LAND (15). These sustainable goals help achieve a balance in our ecosystem.
LIFE BELOW WATER (14) focuses on restoring underwater habitats and also to protect marine resources.
LIFE ON LAND (15) focuses on protecting biodiversity and also to improve sustainability on land.
